Nothing brother, Just relax, they will not ask anything about your past. They will congratulate and that's it. It is just some kind of procedure. (based on a friend who got DV lottery and had AOS interview). Do not forget to take all your past and current tax return documents, work permit if any, school I 20 if F1 and other documents asked.

AOS = Adjustment of Status one of the two ways of appearing for the interview after being selected for the DV lottery. Cp= Counslar Processing is the other way to do it. AOS is for people who are already in the US and do not want to/can not travel to the home country for CP.

Khalisisi brother, While at interview, stay calm, focused, smiling and be confident on what you say. Interview should not last long and doesn't include "big" questions. As I said earlier, this is only procedural thing rather than to grill you. Stay happy and Welcome to USA.

Thanks. I am through with the interview and feel much better. It was not as bad as I thought it would be, however make sure you bring EXACTLY what is mentioned in the appointment letter .. nothing more, nothing less. Also make sure you bring your sponsor's tax return documents for the current and the previous year..JUST IN CASE, they wanted that from me, but I had taken my pay stubs etc instead, so that sufficed. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU HAVE 4 MASTER'S DEGREE AND A COUPLE OF PHD'S IN ROCKET SCIENCE AND NEURAL NETWORKS... THEY NEED TO SEE YOUR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, MAKE SURE YOU BRING IT TO THE INTERVIEW WITH YOU. Overall the interviewer was nice and very professional as expected. DO not answer more than what is expected of you. Good Night!

Hey Guys! I am also doing AOS through DV. I just recieved the notice of application of my I-485 and I-765. But I heard that we dont need to file I-864(Affidavit Of Support). Thats why I have not submitted I-864.The thing I submitted to chicago LOckbox were:- I-485, I-765, sealed I-693, copy of +2 transcript, unofficial transcript of current university, copy of visa, passport and I-94,copy of all I-20s and money order. Can anyone please help me in this case and point out what I am missing? If I am missing some application procedure, will USCIS notify me of that missing stuff? Please share all yours experience. Thanks in advance.

Silugadi, No reason to fret, but you should try and find yourself a sponsor (if you don't have a legitimate job and tons of savings, this is a must) have them fill out the form I-134, I-864(Affidavit Of Support) is NOT required. Ask for their tax retunrs for this year and last year as a backup. You will take all of this to the interview. NO NEED TO MAIL it to them. Make sure you get your twelfth grade diploma (provisional certificate and mark sheet should suffice). like I said earlier, the only thing they care about is the 12th grade, undergrad and master's transcripts etc. might help but they are NOT mandatory (EMPHASIS ADDED). Good luck and post your experience after the interview is done. It would help a lot of people looking for 411 related to DV AOS. Thanks

Thank you so much Khalisisi, For sure I will keep on sharing my experience, For I myself have been seeking the experience of the people in this field. This thread has been really helpful to me. Khalisisi, JUst wanted to b a little bit clear.May sound kinda wierd question . but... dont mind plz. Do U mean I have to send the completed I-134 to Chicago lockbox, Or Do I take it with me in my interview along with the tax-return of my sponsor as u have said, and submit it to them? One more, Do u have any rough idea of how much annual income of the sponsor would b good? And Best Of luck for ur interview. And please keep on sharing ur experience. I m sure ur interview will b successful. So, Congrats in advance.

They asked me for mine. BUT I had a sponsor so they let that go. They however were sorta insisting on getting my sponsor's tax return, but I had my pay stubs an a letter from work. I make enough money to sponsor myself so they let that go. I would say, IF the sponsor is sponsoring only one person $20,000 per year and some savings should be good enough. But if the sponsor has a family and stuff and has sponsored others as well the amount increases poportionally. peep this http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf You can take the I-134 with you at the interview, but if you feel like sending it with your I485 package go ahead and send copies, keep the original with you and take it along at the interview.
