My visa is going to expired very soon. I still needed a year to complete my degree. So, do anybody have idea about extending F1 visa because i am planning to go to Nepal before my senior semester?

I think there is no such thing like extending your F1 visa, as long as you are matriculated in the educational institution, you will be fine staying in US with ur active I-20 even if ur visa expires but if you leave country after the expiration of ur visa, you have to start from the scratch - like you did for ur last visa application. Anyways, good luck for ur hometown visit....

Now here's my question:

a friend of mine wants to go to nepal in December 08, when his visa expires in May 09. I heard you should at least have 6 months in your visa stamp to go in-and-out of the country.... is that true?

Thanks,

Kailo
