Few weeks ago, I met one nepali at Food lion. He tried to wash my brain. I gave by cell number to him as becasue he was nepali. and now this guy keeps me calling to join quixtar. I had met few indians in the past but never paid any interest in it.

I guess these days nepali are no less than indians.

thanks bhusan for the link.

Quixstar Quickmoney Quick-Star is nothing but a Pyramid scheme like Goldquest in Nepal.

Quixstar meet up is like Jimmy Schwaggert filling up the stadium.

and go home losing money instead of becoming Millionaire....

This is a scam...

Be careful of all Quixtar viruses..

They are very active within Nepalese communities.

I think this is how it works (or does not!):

When you join you spend certain amount like $200 for the first month and buy a tons of household stuff (maybe other stuff too - I am not sure). Then they supposedly give you certain amount back. Following that every month u need to keep buying stuff, spending $100. But this is the cache - You ask other people to be members and if they spend money, you don't have to spend and you still get some money back.

Pros: If you can convince a lot of people, let's say like 8-10 people to become member, I think you will make a little money - certainly not enough to stay home and not work.

Cons:How do you convince people to spend money on things they don't need and tell them they can make little money on the long run? You waste a lot of time going to meetings and chasing people to buy.

My verdict: a - NO! NO!

Pyramid schemes, from a true buiiness point of view, are flawed. It expects the base to keep on growing; the ones on top make tonnes of money, those at the bottom loose money and friends.

Having said that, from a macroscopic view, it is not a fraudulent business for an individual business owner. You aren't trying to recrui members, take their money and run away. If your recruits do their work, both of you will make money. Some make million at the top levels, but remember in a pyramid the top is small and the base is larger; most probably that's where you will be.

Schemes like Amway, IHI etc got into legal troubles. Quixtar, has learned from the mistakes and devised a way to avoid these problems; but nobody can guarantee that they are law suit resistant. A friend of mine attended Quixtar seminar and he described it as a cult following, like Night of the Templars induction ceremony.

Bottom line, don't quit your day job for Quixtar. You will also risk annoying your friends and aquaintances as most already know about the "Pyramid" scheme. Don't approach them asking if they want to be rich by joining Quixtar; you might want to say this is a dicount membership club with potential to make side money.

I personally don't like these schemes, but won't recommend anything.
