I am looking for suggestions...... How can we help Nepal......??? I am 22 years old girl doing her Bachelors in Business BUt I've always had a feeling of doing something that would benefit poor Nepelese as a whole. However, my mom and everyone believes on me that after my grad I''ll make tons of money and be rich. I am from middle class family in Nepal but was raised less than I deserved. I don't want my kids to have the same past that I did. I had very low self steem and confident. But after coming to US its has improved a lot but put me in deep confussion. should I make more money and be rich or do someting that would really benefit those nepalese who are been deprived from many things in their life like food, health and education....??? Thanx

i don't know the genuinity of your problem tara as human biengs we are innately selfish. we cannot help others until we are fulfilled ourselves to some extent. you can go ahead, make tons of money, make your parents happy and then help other people, such as establishing an education fund, health fund etc

should I make more money and be rich or do someting that would really benefit those nepalese who are been deprived from many things in their life like food, health and education....??? ================= Are those two options mutually exclusive? If you really want to do somehting for the poor people, you can do it better by being rich. Here is a suggestion. Go ahead and make a lot of money, as much as you can, and donate 50% of it to some organization who looks after those deprived ones. If you don't have money, your options to help the needy will be reduced by more than half.

. please save yourselves the savior complex. if you want to help people, the first person you gotta take care of is yourself. this is not just a selfish statement, this is the responsible thing to do - you cannot really help people by loaning them money if you have to borrow it yourself. . besides if everyone helps the self first - and you be the example - then there is no need to worry about at least the people who can help themselves. so any help you provide in the future will be focused on those who really need it.

What are the guarantees that you would make a great amount of money just because you live in USA? What are the chances that you would donate your hard-earned money to Nepalese Funds without any remorse? What are the likelihoods that your donated money will be aptly utilized? The more questions you ask much thinner your answers become. So don’t worry about the rest, take care of yourself and your family. On top of that you’re saying that you don’t want your kids to have your life. The probabilities are their lives would be worse than what you had if you were to live in Nepal in this situation. And if you really think that you want to help other people, you shouldn’t be asking questions to us about what you should do. You should already know what you want to do if you really have cravings to help others so much.

you should make more money and stand on your feet first. Then you can do whatever you want to help Nepal. Remember there was a saying "the base should be stronger." btw, which univ do u go to? i'm asking coz i'm a business major too.

Sure this is an open forum and everyone has the right to write whatever they want. but WHAT A STUPID QUESTION? SO IF YOU BECOME RICH, YOU CAN'T BE OF SERVICE TO NEPAL? AND WHO SAYS YOU ARE GOING TO BE RICH? JUST BECAUSE YOU STUDIED IN THE US DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU SUCCESS. SO GET SOME REALITY CHECK AND GET RID OF YOUR SAVIOUR COMPLEX.

Thanks all for the suggestions That’s absolutely true that being in the US and having US Degree will not prove that I'll be rich in the future. But in context with other Nepalese immigrants I sure will be. I guess???? I have come to a conclusion that I've got to make my strong base with education and rest lets see...

What about earning money and helping people at the same time. I mean you can sponsor one child for schooling for around $10 a month and you can do it all the way. Is is not hard. I do not believe that one should wait until earning money to help because how much is a lot of money? and with all the bills you have to pay, it will never be enought. But try it right from now. Try savinf $10-$20 and donating to a family. All it takes is a geniune concern and few less coke or takeouts.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO HELP NEPALESE? THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO UNLESS YOU GO TO NARAYANHITI PALACE WITH SMGS AND SLAUGHTER ALL REMAINING SHAHS. BUT I SUGGEST YOU TO CARRY ON WITH WHAT YOU ARE DOING, MAKE MONEY. LIFE IS A BITCH WITHOUT MONEY.

.After you graduate its not sure you make tons of money. पदाइ सकेर काम पाउन गाह्रो छ तन्न पैसा कमौने त धेरै पछी को कुरा हो । तर तिम्रो अरु लाई सयोग गर्ने विचार चै राम्रो छ ।
