Bumper crops, better security, improved transportation, and increased tourism pushed growth past 5% in 2008, after growth had hovered around 3% - barely above the rate of population growth - for the previous three years. The deteriorating world economy in 2009 will challenge tourism and remittance growth, a key source of foreign exchange. Nepal has considerable scope for exploiting its potential in hydropower and tourism, areas of recent foreign investment interest. Prospects for foreign trade or investment in other sectors will remain poor, however, because of the small size of the economy, its technological backwardness, its remoteness and landlocked geographic location, its civil strife and labor unrest, and its susceptibility to natural disaster.

there is nothing wow about it, don't know the figure is right or wrong but i believe it's really hight .. in fact too high.. why don't you, me and all do something... if a person can create at least 2 other job.. lets hope in few years the figure gets down by some numbers... it's really time to be sad and take our responsibility.

These people hang around in the wrong places.... they should in front of all those ministries, singha darbar... so and so darbars...for sunbathing.... they should use the venues in front of UN HQ, political parties' office venues... various important governmental departments (especially Labour department).

Don't go to the park... where no one notices you...
