Go to Jackson Heights and you will find numerous Nepalese and Desi people to hangout. Momo are now served outside as well until 3 AM. Many Nepalese cafe and restaurants around there or Woodside area. Probably once you find too many people to hang out, you might not like the original idea.

3AM bhaneko bihana 3 baje samma ho ni mitra. And NY is not like other state. You will see numbers of nepalese people over here but they don't talk with each other.

Because it's nyc. if you encounter a nepalese, don't ask ," oh ho tapai ni nepali ho?". You will get " kina kaile nepali dekheko chhainas" as a reply.

@instagram right on point @ ark its funny but very true.
@raj.pkr yes too many nepali in same place, it used to be less 10 yrs ago but now Nepalese in Jackson Heights, Woodbury, Sunnyside are everywhere. Also, be careful and dont trust everyone just because they are Nepali. But again many are nice and Nepalese family. I used to live in NY and now I am just okay to visit that place once in a while.
