Hey ppl I need some suggestions:

My visa expired back in 2011. I want to go Nepal this winter to renew my visa. I am doing my PhD
here in US and in good academic condition.
I was told by my immigration advisor that they run background check which might be a lengthy process.
But since I am just going for 4 weeks, will it be enough to get a visa interview and background checked within that time frame.

Please share your experience.

Thanks
