Hi Dipulata jee, Could you please explain me how can we file h1b from multiple companies. Since we have to report our employer information to the university within 90 days and it updates our employer information into the database. My concern is while filing h1b from multiple companies, does USCIS backtrack our employment information( since we provide only one employer's details to our university). Is it troublesome? I want to know how it works.I have also read previous threads on " filing h1b" from different company than the one you are working with if your present employer is not willing to sponsor h1b. What if USCIS finds it and raise questions on your present employment details? Don't we have to report these information to university? your help/suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.

Please check with the lawyer and USCIS website. Last year, they took out multiple filings for the same individuals for h1-b. Earlier people used to file from more than one employer, which resulted in 200,000 applicants. Last year rule was changed. I am not sure about these year.

Haven't you heard anything about the latest news of H1B in CNN and other channels? Do you think your employer will still do it now after that fraud news?

too much fraud is going on. Not just the consulting company that does the fraud is getting caught. Applicants who submit false resume, false application information can be caught. I believe that of those 11 dhotis caught, there were a few who were just employees. So beware. Not just employers are being targeted in the investigation, employee who submit false information about themselves are being investigated. So think many many times before you apply from multiple places.
