Life in Abroad is really hard for anyone of us. As per my experience I would say going aborad to girls for studies is not good unless you have someone of yours(parents). Married couples are good to go but single i would never suggest.
So if any new girls going to abroad think twice before going to abroad.

Again its not blaming game yea that true Girl can struggle hard and they are but what we think when we are in Nepal or Home town its not that easy life here You should have mentally strong if you are applying for private university where U cant work for a semester and u have to study at least two semester there. Either You have to ask money from Nepal or U have to stay out of status. I dont knw may be I am wrong but this situation happen most of my friend not only girl, buys too. SO PLEASE DONT THINK THIS IS STUPID THINK..JUST PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE .. Jau Hosh..sabaiko

you guys can't even think out of the box. you think everyone comes to usa to study and h1 then green card is the only way to be successful in this country. as a matter of fact, this is completely opposite. most successful people in the usa r the entrepreneurs. no matter which school you go to your are completely out of luck if you don't study technical and find a sponsor to sponsor your h1 and gc, which means years of insecurity even if you're extermly lucky. and looks like it's getting tougher and tougher everyday and for most Nepali and international students Indians consultancy is the only catch 22 option left. what a sad case, and you guys still think education is the only way. I would rather open up a gastation or a liquor store and send my kids to standford with full pay rather thanworking for some snobby old white man or a cheater Indian consultancy. for me America means freedom and freedom means my independence; entrepreneurship.
Immigrants who are successful in this country are the ones who have papers. who have at least permanent residencies. Nepali and asian girls in this country has 50% more chances to succeed because they can find any despo white boy to be their fultime worshipper and make paper withing 3 months and go to school paying instate tution. I've seen older ladies dating younger guys. It's really easy for any ladies to find help to make paper. Where as it is completely opposite for Nepali boys.Any butt ugly girl can have a bright future in the USA , either through study if she's extermly smart or even better if she's not study smart but knows how to play around.
you guys need to think paper wise. I've been coming to sajha for years and i see everytime you kids trying to pull each other's leg with who's english is better and crap. grow up. what difference it makes whose english is better. you all are foreigners after all. they all smell curry on your shirt from last night , and no matter how much you fake your accent they''ll never treat you with respect. but if you've got money, they'll at least respect you infront of you. so open your business.
in 13 years of my life in the great USA i've seen people who're street smart making more money than people who went after h1 and green card crap. i went trhough school and everytime but those who quit and risked their visa status are now U.S citizens and i just got my green card. They own businesses and hire people and i'm scared with losing my job everyday and hope they'll hire me if i got fired...
so grow up.. stop throwing crap on each others.. every foreigners english sucks. every one can succeed if they think cleaver.. and schools and colleges are not the only way to succeed.

Thanks for comments.
I did not mean that girls are not capable.
I just wanted to tell girls who come to US as “Craze†and get stuck, which make them feel bad at some point of time?
I have seen many such cases.
Recently one girl, completed her studies and was looking for job. After one year in OPT, she did not get job mean while her father came to meet her, and I do not know what was the story there, her father finally decide and took her back. I think her father did the best decision what every the condition was.
I just wanted to spread the message, to all my friends, saying that life is not easy in abroad, we should be prepared to work hard and make our life.
Be Happy, please do not depend on any one, make your own life, make a Plan A at the same time make Plan B too for all the work.
Always think how you can we improve yourself, make good friend circle, who can help you when you are in need and you should help them when they are in need.
God Bless us.

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.
Free your mind from worries - Most never happen.
Live simply and appreciate what you have.
Give more.
Expect less.
NOW ............
Enough of that crap . ... The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer who had tried to bury him. The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.
MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:
When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.

Very Good Lesson Learnt BetterNepal Jyu.. Thanks alot for posting the Donkey story, I really appreciate it. We should never lose hope as the saying goes 'If there is a will there is a way in most problems we encounter'.... I am sorry to learn about your sathi but then again that should not stop anyone from trying "Never stop trying, look in the bright side Oppoetunity will knock one day!!!"... not saying u are wrong yes... u are right in warning.. i underdstand your goodwill..
As most folks here mentioned with proper planning, full determination, self discipline and hardwork one have to achieve in order to survive in this cruel world to make a better future for him/herself. Even if you have to hold double jobs to work ur assoff in indian restaurant or convient shops or gas stations or even as cleaners.... I had friends doing that so what!!!! There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.. at least u are not stealing from others u are earning with your own two hands... one should be proud of themselves as they are survivors..... You are standing on your own feet.... As my motto is always 'Work Hard, Party Hard"
to end with a qoute!!!
Life grants nothing to us mortals without hard work!!!! Work hard fellas....

I am with you Nepali_nari....Despite the fact that everyone don't succeed after going through the hell, we should not quit "working hard" and somewhere down the road your experiences counts and makes you more mature. May be, my way of thinking is weird but when someone criticizes you or pull down your legs generally speaking, it get into our nerves and we start throwing our words but if one happens to be a 'smart' person, they should take that in their hearts. And either you come way smarter or you go more dumb! Criticism are one other way to improve your mistakes. " you savor the good and learn from the bad"...Enjoy the weekends guys....!

Very True Drifter Jyu..... We learn from our mistakes... everyone makes mistakes.. I do, we all do .. and all the time.. the lesson is to learn from our mistakes or from others mistakes and hope not to repeat it or the task differently... if you fall while walking.... just get up and clean the dust away and keep on walking... in Finding Nemos words---> Just keep swimming... just keep swimming lolll!!!!

Dyamn - well said!! Although I don't agree with some of the things you said - but that's not I'm here for. Just wanted to make a few points ... I myself came to the US 11 yrs ago and still rolling on my H1-B status with a so called Fortune 500 company that is struggling to stay afloat. I've been thru several massive layoffs and luckily have survived, but the fear is always there. Also, lot of the young guns think that having an annual salary of 60-80K is great .. let me tell you, depending on where you live (I'm in midwest) .. I'm nothing but poor. Everytime a rumor circulates that a layoff is coming, I'm stressed out because I've got a house payment to make, car payment to make and credit-card bills to pay. This is insecurity because I know no matter how valuable my education and skills are, when it comes down to layoffs - the company doesn't care. When you have 30K, 40K, 50K employees, it least matters whether you have a Harvard degree or you made your way up as a high school dropout. If you have any friends working in Wall Street making tons of money right now - just ask them how they are feeling right now - truthfully. The fact is the more you make, the harder for you to digest losing the job. No one is invincible in the corporate world. Now coming back to the original subject of this thread .. I think I understand BetterNepal's point of view. Its not that a Nepali guy has a better chance of succeeding in the US than a Nepali girl, but if you were to compare the struggles of a Nepali guy and a Nepali girl coming to the US for UG studies without financial sponsorship (i.e. u want to earn your way thru the degree) .. I have no doubt the struggle is much more greater for a Nepali girl. The reason I say this is simple .. Nepali girls have hard time working in a gas stations (usually at nights), girls have hard time finding roommates unless they don't mind staying with guys, girls have to be specially careful with the help they get from guys (Nepali or American) because they may expect something out of it .. lots of things. I have seen girls struggle, hasten themselves into relationships with wrong guys. Having said, some of them have worked out good as well. The point is - is it worth it? I would suggest all Nepali guys/girls to come to the US only for graduate study unless you have full scholarship or your parents can afford to pay the full undergraduate tuition. Why struggle needlessly just so that you can drive a car or wear designer clothes for few more years?

@ khaharekhola
You are wrong about the education situation in Nepal. If such was the case then why do we have so many successful Nepalese here in the States. Most Japanese, Chinese etc. etc. can't even spell the word "English", but one can clearly see they are doing pretty good. Even Americans have to take SAT GRE GMAT ACT. They take one or more of these tests because many Universities require them not because these graduates are stupid. Graduating from high school will not guarantee a seat for you in colleges. Yes there are community colleges and a few universities that will take you in but you have to have SAT (for American Highschool graduates) to get into even the average of universities. At least Nepalese don't have to take SAT (Most Universities will enroll you without one). And please do not insult others just because they have hard time writing English. Most Nepalese go through that phase. I can see that you are pretty articulate but that does not give you the right to make fun of others. Respect others the way you would want to be respected. Peace.

i recommend everyone from Nepal to come here in US ! whoever started this thread needs to learn one thing that it is better to struggle in USA rather than sittin on thier ass and spend Parents money. nepali girls and boys need to be more active and hard working. Once they come here they will see the world and learn to struggle, this is a good thing for country!!! think broad!!! dude...
