I was trying to send my passport for renewal and it's asking me to show valid status in the US. Does US embassy need to see status to renew my Nepalese citizen passport?

No. We all should tell the ambassador to get his head out of the US's a$$ hole. By the way, which state are you in ? I hear there are safe houses for TPS in several States to stay until the danger is over.

I renewed my passport last year and I don't remember having to show my valid status in the US. Also, i am not sure if you can mail your passport renewal application since they require you to give them the biometrics in person.
