Hello Friends, Does anyone know how much it would cost (approx) for a company to apply for a Labor/PERM these days? I know the lawyer fees would vary, but if a company is asking me for $X amount, I just wanted to have a rough idea about the realistic cost. Thanks in advance!!

Per my knowledge, it costs ~$10000 including Attorney's Legal Fees. However it may vary.

The attorney fee could be between $1,500-$3,000 for PERM filing.

Thanks istamitra and chicagobull. I would think that $10,000 might be a little too much just for Labor. Have you guys ever had to pay for the Labor yourself? From what it looks like, Labors are taking on average of 8-10 months these days due to backlog.

hello sajha friends I am also confused how this green card by employements works. The thing is that i am working in a gas station for 2 years and my owner is real good. He even has said that he is ready to help me make green card by employement. And i am in F1 status and i am taking regular classes. So, could you please help me know how does it works and how long it takes and how much it costs approximately for all this process of green card. Is there any chances of not getting approved. And my boss has 2 gas stations which they have been owning for 4 years. And do i have to get a lawyer for this??? And i am in texas now . hoping to hear some good replies soon. thankyou

The cost apporx $ 15-3500 for labor file (attorney fees). Total cost would be around $6K-$10K, depends the lawyer cost and expertise. Though, you can find cheap okil too in the market. Nowadays, it's taking long for labor approval (6-10months) or may longer to depend on the filing center.

Mine got approved in 30 days (Atlanta Center). But that was on early 2008. It looks like, it is taking longer to those who have filed after May 2008- approximately 8 months if the case is not audited. The legal fees of my PERM case was about $1800.00 and there was no filing fees. To my understanding, your employer should be responsible to the cost of PERM filings.
