In keeping the tradition of sending something home to Kathmandu during dashai, I was looking at several websites offering gift delivery. Few interesting items under consideration 1. Ipod for my grandmother so she can listen to bhajan and raag all day and night. Price tag of $450 plus for a $250 item. Another site's price 549.99 I could probably send it by DHL for 40 bucks. It's a rip off by any standard. Friends and family of online shops please spare us from your lame excuses for this one. 2.Dishwasher for $650. Does it include water? Heard water is pretty scarce unless you have some servants running back and forth from bagmati carrying water in gagri. 3. Dashai Black boka for $91.46. How on earth do you get to that price including the cents? Another site is selling a khasi for $151 with FREE digital photo confirmation. I am sure my family would be more than thrilled to pose for a photograph with a goddamn boka or a khasi. I can imagine one of Deep's character sayin.. kasto muu... boka 4. Bhaley for $19. The photo confirmation again is a damn funny concept. Haha I can imagine my sister looking all over the bhaley to see if it has a "made in usa" tag 5. A gift of 10,000 rupees costs 12,000 rupees. You do the math. Ironically on the same page they are advertising "Free money transfer". I bet it's the dashain surcharge. Feel free to add more. If I see any more worth sharing i'll be baaaaaack

I'd love to send an online boka to Captain Haddock. The photo confirmation would tell me who's the bigger boka around here. LOL in jest.

I want to send another boka to Ashu for the photo confirmation. I hope he's going to be home when they deliver. I heard he's busy bungee jumping since July 2001.

oh! why bother buying boka when bokas are all over the place with unannounced deal free 1 free at least 2 (euta sittaima chyaape kamtimaa duita saathiharu pani sittaima pachhi laagne). Bokas are quite competitive hamro tol tira -- they are even willing to be khasis in the name of bokas when the competition gets tough-- Raato bhaley is right -- mera saathiharule paaye babal bhandinchhan ---

More fun items to send home, all these items below are termed as delicacies.
I was a little taken aback when I saw the fourth item because it's my signature in my emails I bet they would look like delicacies cut up into small pieces cooked without any signs that they used to alive and breathing at some point in time. Whoa i love this copy paste thingy.
53 dollars for 6 beers lord have mercy. Even lord shiva won't be able to afford this kind of price for 6 beers.

Guys, these items are much better than what I saw the other day a child's head on KASOKO plate from Palpa. Very disturbing scene. I can't post in this thread.

How many people do you think are stupid enough to pay $53 for 6pk of beer? Nepal should be a dry country for this kinda price.
