Namaste all, I'm currently in the process of applying for a student visa to Canada. I got an offer from the college and paid my fees already. However, I'm unsure of some of the visa application processes. Would be really grateful if someone out there could help me in this matter. My questions include,
1. I know there is a Canadian consulate in KTM, but would I have to go to New Delhi for the interview?
2. What are the method of paying the application fee and how do they send the receipt to me?
3. How long does it take to process?

I would be really grateful if you could take a minute of your valuable time to answer my questions.

you can either send your documents via post/mail or directly go yourself there
nothing would be done in ktm

i suggest that you go directly to VFS centre and apply
it is fast within two days
you can pay in cash there

Thanks a lot to you both for the prompt response. My letter of acceptance is for October. I went to the Consulate in Lazimpat but I was unable to gain any valuable information from them. All they said was to check the Canadian embassy website. I understand that I can courier my application and documents to New Delhi. However, I was also told that I need to get the receipt from them before going for my interview. So my main concern is HOW CAN I PAY THE APPLICATION FEE before my interview?

Go to Everest bank in Newroad Ktm, make a draft of 5000 IC and 56 IC *3 or some figures like these referring from the delhi's website and send it.

In which province's college are you applying in Canada. I believe most semesters start September first or second week. Even you start in Obtober, I think you should go Delhi and apply in person as copycat said in thread that is quicker. Good luck man!

mys, i recommend u go directly to VFS or canadian embassy(delhi). If you go to VFS, you can pay fee in cash. and If you want to go to embassy directly, you need to pay fee by draft.
