Today, playing against Getafe, Messi proved again why he is called the New Maradona. God, he's just 19.

Lionel Messi had an offer to play for Spain where he spent most of his youth life. However, he preferred to wait for an opportunity to play for his birth-country, Argentina; hence, by registering his names next to legends such as, Maradona, Batistuta, and mighty Crespo. Having already been recognized as one of the best midfielders in the world, the 19-years old stunning Leo is a dynamic striker himself. Soccer gurus still argue on Peckerman’s wrong decision to bring Julio Cruz as a Hernan Crespo substitute in World Cup quarterfinal against Germany. Had Peckerman sent Leo as Hernan’s substitute, Argentina might have created more chances to avoid the early exit from the World Cup. It is always a previlage to watch Leo play, not to mention with the surroundings of Ronaldhino, ‘Eto, Deco and Xavi.

I agree with don_juan but then again I don't think that someone referring football as soccer should be termed as offensive! Go to thesun.co.uk, bbcnews.com and you're likely to find even the brits calling it soccer at times. its only when the yanks call it soccer as "sucker" that i get nervy! Anyways Football is getting more and more interesting! Let the beautiful game keep cherishing our hearts and bringing us all together! VIVA argentina!

Best Goal I Have Ever Seen - Deco Barcelona midfielder Deco has joined the growing bunch of players coaches and legends world-wide hailing Lionel Messi's goal last night. His take on Little Messi and the goal "There are no words for a goal such as this," gushed Deco. "The goal that Lionel has scored witll enter the history books. It is a goal more beautiful than any I have seen in my life, be it Maradona or Ronaldo. "Messi's goal is just perfect, there can be no definition for such a goal. "I thought that he would run into the wall of defenders near the edge of the penalty area, but he surprised us all. "Lionel has incredible quality. "Even though he is very young, he is already among the best in the world, had a very good head, and is a great person. "He is closest to Maradona that I have seen. However, it is not necessary to compare them. Lionel is Lionel."

Unfortunately , 2 out of 4 ( Messi, Ronaldinho, Deco and Rijkaard ) are expected to leave the club though.
