We are currently a group of five and looking to add some more to go out, play and have fun during the weekends or sometimes, even on the weekdays. No specific skills, experiences or fees are required to join but you have to be at least interested in playing.

The more people we have in the group, the better chances of finding a partner when some one feels like to play at any given day. Nothing beats the allure of cracking nepali jokes, politics and laughs while golfing in the great MN summer weather!!!!!

Ever tried playing 18 hole of golf yourself? Or for that matter cricket too? ive been to the driving range once in my life
(tried hitting them plastic suckers in the backyard, that aint too much fun, plus the damage to the lawn.....)
and tiger woods 2006 dont cut it anymore, need the real thing
seems like i got good coordination, because i generally managed to whack the ball ok (im apparently frikkin amazing for a first-timer, so they tell me)
but the thing is, every shot i hit with a driver seems to veer off to the right
cant figure it out
when i use a wedge, or the irons, i do pretty well. i managed a 150-yard shot with a pitching wedge, which (so they tell me) is pretty good
but the driver... just veers off to the right
any suggestions?

150 yard shot with a wedge is pretty impressive, I would need a 8 or 9 for that. Usually when you are hitting a driver, you tend to move a little backward which is going to make your posture rather awkward. Whereas when you are attempting an iron its different, your posture is in the line of the ball and your feet. Ball going to the right is a major swing defect which can only be corrected with a proper posture. Try this! look at the target, say a 200 yard flag on the driving range. Keep both your feet straight on the line of the flag. Do not try to hit the ball too hard. Hit it and see where it goes? If it is still going to the right then drag your right feet, a foot forward and hit it again. I think that should do the trick. If not come back for another lesson! :) and Oh ya forgot one thing! when you are swinging full, donot bend your elbow. Its should be a complete 180 swing.

i would practice with 3 wood or 4 wood b4 going to the driver... the ball swings to the right (always did, back then).. becuase the ball is being hit by the tip of the driver. you are a little too close (like 1/4 of an inch). so, u might want to move 1/4 (not more back), then just swing the same way, you did before. should work.

150 with a P!!! Damn bro, if you hit 3000 with wood, u're ready for big games, unless u always hit to the roughs. :-)
