I am having hard time getting a decent quote for flight from MSP- KTM. My travel dates are departure from US from aug 25- aug29 and departure from KTM, sep 28-29. I am getting quotes from $1600- $1800+. Anyone know abt decent fares please. what has been ur experince if u have traveled around this date.

Try ZEn travels..Talk to them as if you are goin in late September and coming back late december...They are goin to say..the fare for those times are really expensive.....
but also get the quotes for the actual time you wanna go

Act as if you are ok with the september fare...and when they think that you are ready to pay for ticket
switch back to the actual time you wanna go..believe me you will see some difference in ticket price..

i went ot nepal last may antd took ticket through Zen travels and the price for the ticket was 1250.

but zen are saying above 1750$ ..... oh god...

YOu wont get anything cheaper than $1700 from june to august as it is the peak season. Thats why I had to prepond my flight to may. You willl not get anything cheaper than 1700 for august no matter where you go. I had tried all of them in April.

Cofi ji, just watch to the left on the top . you can easily see the tickets on sale for Nepal from different airlines. I dont know, when is that for but why dont you try to inquire from those ads? Just a suggestion.

kinfolk, if u really wanna save some money, ask any travel agents for multiple transits,,.it really shouldnt matter how long the transit would be, In fact most of the flights let you stay in hotels around the airport area if the transit is too long. Try weekdays flight..
Zen travels helped me with the tickets last july 18th. i paid around 1550.. which i think was allright. i mean, they had to make thier money too.. its a matter of how much? GOOD luck,,

I got cheap flights to Kathmandu even searching the airfare for next week from your recommended site (asaptickets.com). Could you please post your experience with asaptickets.com? I don't see much details on the flight except the price. Is it okay to call them and book the tickets? I am skeptic only because they dont provide much details on the flight and their search shows much much cheaper fare than others.

With Zen travel what would be the cost for departing Aug 1st an Return August. Any idea?
