why u moving to orange county??that is freaking expensive place..

there are very few nepali ..
and yes there is one racist named kakababa who comes to sajah once in a while ..he lives quite close to orange county ..around long beach..
but i guess you don't want to hang around with racist bastard like him!!!!

formerly midwest, now in OC. i live in LA but work in OC. this area is very huge and nepalis are scattered everywhere. i don't know that many either. takes forever to get to another part of this area. so get ready for the change.

why the move to OC? education? work? family?

Yeah..I need to move there for the work. I heard that its freaking expensive but then seeing the $$$$$$, its for my best interest to move there for couple of years.

after being here for more than a year, here is what i have to say about south land. it is expensive, yes. especially buying a house. besides that i don't think anyone needs to be scared. i don't think i'll live here forever but for now it is ok. rent is about what you will pay in DC metro. people have told me that DC area is not cheap either. in OC a 2 bedroom will rent for $1500. and driving is stressful. you have to be alert all the time, mostly on the freeways and this area has over 30 of them.

LA/OC is definitely not for students. but if you are a professional, there is great money to be made if you have good network. there are a lot of companies and you can make money while the going is good.

i think most nepalis are scared of the south land because of expensive housing, i would be too. when i was a student i survived in the midwest. this place is expensive to live in because where else can you get mountains, beaches, deserts, theme parks and the most nummber of diverse people in the world all within a 60 mile radius?

Midwest, indeed u gave me the scenerio of OC. Coz as u said, that isnt a place for students.
Yeah, I survived 4 yrs in midwest too. Finally, Moving to the big city..thrilled but will be accoustomed with the surrounding.

Hopefully, will be able to see familiar faces..but not exactly looking forward to...if u know what I mean..

I used to live in Irvine Orange county 6 months ago. It is wonderful place to live. You don't want to live any other places of USA once u go there.
