Everyone knows about the best teams..
there has always been an underdog team.. like senegal last time, croatia before that, bulgaria even before..

Who can pull up the upset this time around?? Any thoughts..
I am rooting for Brazil to win it all .. Here is the stat one should remember though..
Whenever world has been held in europe only european teams have won it except for Brazil .. i think in 1958 Sweden.. so I think some European team will get it.. I like Netherland (unlucky) .. or Czech ...

Do you expect Ivory Coast to upset few big shots at least in qualifying games? Rooney and Owen bombed england's dream. I hate watching Italy play the game. They play to win. Just to win. who doesn't? But it's fun to watch Brazil. They play the game and win. Ronaldinho would be the star this year again. See, how he took Barca to the champions league final and I am pretty sure that the cup would be their. he he he ssssh watch the game.

Brazil, Italy, England, Germany, and Argentina are favorites to win the world cup. But lets take a deep look into it. Brazil has very talented team all around. Italy is very strong defensively. England has great midfielders that are fast and great young forwards. Germany are Argentina have very young and talented young players like Leo Messi and Luka Podolski. But look at the latest developments.
Adriano, Ronaldo, and Robinho are struggling to score goals and Brazil rely on them to score goals. Cafu are getting old but their recent forms are very questionable. Chicinho and Roberto Carlos are ver attack minded and they are slow to fall back. If this is the case, Lucio will have to carry Brazil's defence by him self and maybe old Cafu. Dida also has struggled lately w/ his many mistakes and he cannot make a any mistakes during the WC. Ronaldinho is only one who is enjoying a great moment and during the WC he will not be able to carry the Whole Brazillian team b/c he will be playing against the best of the best.
Italy is very promising team however they are weak away from home. This could lead to the downfall. Buffon is not in the best shape as he was during 2002 WC but hopefully he will be able to gain full fittness before the cup.
Current England teaam is proabably has the most talented England team ever. But their forwand are their weakness. Owen is no longer great as he was. Rooney will proabably not be fit enough to play in the world cup. Defoe is not very experienced. And goalkeeper is another issue.
Germany's main problem is defence, defence,defence. they are very young and very inexperienced. If they bring back Nowotny, Metzelder, and Woerns they might me good to go but Woerns will proabably not return under Klinsmann's reign. Nowotny's form is a big question. So Metzelder will be left to lead the defence. Lehmann will also be challenged even though he is Germany's number 1. His recent form has proved that he is proabably the best in the world.
Argentina is very experienced and and also very talented. In my view, Argentina's biggest weakness is the pride.
If these countries can overcome these problem will be able to win the World Cup. In my opinion, Germany will be a surprise like in 2002 b/c they are the home team, their young players are desprate for attention especially Lukas Podolski and Bastin Schweingster, they are known for surprise porformences and Lehmann will not want to lose his starting spot. So I believe Germany will win the World Cup.

i predict, Argentina will win this world cup, hurrey..........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this is my favorite team...

Not sure who to cheer for.

Australia, maybe, the underdogs from downunder. Or USA, they did pretty well last time and they need some serious cheering, given that 90% of us don't give a hoot of this so called football you play with foot instead of with hands as it should be. Or England, traditional favorite but usual disappointers. Or our Asian teams from Japan and Korea. Darn, I am thoroughly confused.

All I know is that I will be coming to work late all of June and first two weeks of July.

This year Argentina will take the trophy home. The only country that could have challenged Argentina didn't qualify for this World cup - Nepal. :) So let's support these Argentanians - Crespo, Messi, Requelmi, Sorin, Zanetti, Cambiasso to get what they deserve.
