I know its silly but I was eating this SLOPOKE caramel candy and it reminded me of Nepali Gudpak. Anyone here have tried it or have similar experiences with other stuff?

I used to eat the "White Rabbit" candies in Nepal during my childhood days. If you remember, the coolest thing about it was that you could eat the inside plastic looking wrapper. One day I saw those candies at a Korean store and bought a whole bag. Brought it to a party at my friends and gave it out when they were high and drunk. Oh man.....they were so nostalgic and were so greatfu and wanted to hug me :)

RNAC pachadi??? yup, the gudpak there was awesome... maile ni tyahi ko khaa ho.. eheh.. and pustakari... but I am not really a fan. baru I AM HUGE fan of LAKHAMARI and gurumari.. eheh... Lakhamari ta tyo basantapur ma Ganeshthan ni, tyasko khappar nanglo jatro lakhamari, kyaa seusi hunthyo... And also aithe... eheh...

How about YAK CHEESE?? eh, One time I spend all my money I made in Dashain on yak cheese... katti khaayo katti, cherpatti lagne gari.. hehe... I miss that Yak Cheese. Hamro Amrica ma paunna raicha tyasto... eh... ke thaa?

kalanki, that place is called gudpak bhandar. few months ago when i was in nepal, they had lines to buy gudpak. aba sugar ko lagi line basne bhane pachi gudpak ko lagi pani line basnu pari halyo ni!

Chetrapati's haluwai pasal is the best in the country. even people from patan, bhaktapur come to buy rotis from there. Its located infront of the ganesh mandir. its a really really old shop

Ohh yeah Cool_Keta... I know that haluwai ko pasal. A dark hole of a room. Real congested ! My father always buys 'bakhampa' for Sri Swasthani ko katha reading from that halwai pasal. Gulmari is best there!!!

Yeah Gudpak Bhandar is very popular. But a pasal in Nhyeokha, a place midway from Bangemuda to Tengal, sells gudpak better than that of newroad. Too rich with dried fruit and a bit harder. A joy to chew? yummm!

I am not sure if you guys had ever wondered about this, but "sutkeri pareko eyemy" get fed a lot with Gudpak. And when I was a kid I asked one of our "dais" from our "Tole" and he said that Gudpak was mainly for "sutkeri pareko eyemy" since it helps her vaginal muscles to contract after being in labor. So guys beaware, you know what can shrink...:)

I love WHITE RABBIT. Do you know that they have new flavour now. I have tired COCONUT, MANGO, BANANA and CHOCOLATE so far. They all taste great.

BED ji NO GUDPAK was great. It hadn't become MOLDPAK yet. They delivered it
within 5 days so it was nice, not fresh but tasted great................
