Oh, I could not watch without cringing.  Ugghhh... Nepal ko police.  Such brutality: beating up that poor woman and kicking that man from all around.  I hope Nepal police does not represent us Nepalis.  What a shame.

@Kanchu: Nepal ko VIRGIN dadha rata raat kasari Monastry bandai cha? and what exactly are you trying to say with that satement? what are you implying?  in my opinion that speaks loudly of what ignorance you believe in. Do not forget  Nepal comprises of large number of Buddhist population if you do not already know that.

Other than that the issue regarding Bhutanese refugees is another can of worm altogether and in my opinion I do condemn Bhutanese and Indian Govt support in their action against the exiled Nepalese from their Bhutani Homeland.

Tibetan refugees have in most cases abided by Nepalese law. There are few whose actions have caused the laws to break but those examples should not be used to generalize the entire Tibetan refugee population.
Apart from that Tibetans have the right to protest in Nepal against a regime that has annexed their home land and they can do so  without turning violent.

Before I say any further...I am from Boudha, I have Tibetan relatives, cousins and tons of friends...most of them second, third generation Tibetans born and  living in Nepal. I am really against the brutality of the Police but also understand that the Police have a no pass zone where the protesters are not allowed to pass, they can protest everywhere but arent allowed to cross certain areas due to security concerns. These protesters have the most of boudha and Kathmandu to demonstrate BUT they however always choose to make a point by crossing  the police safety zone because they know that the police will act against them and violently stop them from advancing. Living in boudha I know that  the Tibetans organizers direct the so called protesters to clash with the police so the international media and local will see how bad their life in Nepal is ......Its a political move from the Tibetan side to clash with the police.........It shows to china that our government is stopping them but to the rest of the world we become villains further strengthens the Free Tibet case. So I am neutral here.......They get what they ask.......without te police beating them, their free Tibet case wouldnt be that strong...so this is all planned guys....

@ chaure- do not generalize nepalese buddhist religiion- understand there are branches, and different branches practiced geographically different places. Surprisingly, over last few years, the monasteries are being built in the places where such practices of building " lofty" monastery structures have never been culturally in practice, NEVER EXISTED! it is more than a religion- it shows your ignorance not mine!

@ terobaje you are right it is more a politics-not to mention Mr. Dalai Lama is stepping down from the  position of TIBETEN leader.

While BHUTANESE refugees are living miserly in a SLUM like condition- how come TIBETEN refugees are riding PAZEROS? SUKILA MUKILA TIBETEN REFUGEE dekhda achhama lagcha. A simple nepal man asks a question

PLUS stop politicalizing Boudhha Stupa- yo timra bauko birta hoina, Lichhavi kal ma banako Nepal ko dharohar ho!

ok I am totally lost as to what this person just said.....what is the point here? I thought we were talking about Buddhism in general and not NEPALESE or TIBETAN buddhism (if such classification even exists, nepali and tibetan, is beyond me) there are different branches what what? where have these monastries start poping up? what was supposed to have happened and what happened as far as monastries being built is in question??err i am kind of lost here, what exactly do you mean lofty? and what was the cultural norm? if you are trying to imply that better looking monastries are being built then so what? do you not see the same with hindu temples or christian churches? sorry i totally don't see what you are yapping about.
