Someone recently asked me what kind of men that I like

Of the Nepali men that I've dated, are friends or were in my family or in my community, I made a list of qualities that I like:

My ideal man is someone with a sense of humor. Is educated. Well-read. Decently travelled. He shoud be stable. No lazies or crazies, please. Should have good family values. Good upbringing. Being established in his career is important. Shouldn't be too narrow-minded. Should have a personality. Should know how to laugh. Should know how to respect the old and love the young.
He doesn't need to look like Rajesh Hamal or Shiva Shrestha, but he needs to stay physically active.

Shouldn't be crude, crass or immature. Those are such turn-offs. No pakhe types who don't know how to behave around educated ladies, please. Those men are best being conductors of buses and riding rickshaws around Ratna park.

Bonus points: If he is a musician, an artist. Especially if he will paint my picture or write me a poem or a song. Oh, I will be yours for ever. LOL. Maybe.

Its out of context and apologize in advance if I hurt you but one of my friend once told me that
" if a girl is even only little cute then she thinks that she deserves a guy who has house, money and better job. They have a big check list. Though they say humor and personality, money and house gets the bigger points"
Damn!!! Don't mind la and good luck in finding a good men.

Geology Tiger,

You seem like an educated gentleman. So tell me, what are the qualities of your ideal Nepali woman?

It's rare to find a guy with all the those packages that you mentioned. No wonder why you ended up dating x #s of guys. You can always pick good traits from different guys to form one hypothetical date.

Furthermore, it reminded me of the old-school story: "Creation of Camel". God wanted to create the most beautiful creature by combining the best body part of every other animals ........

No More Crush,

I'm not sure about the circles of you hang out in. But most of guys I went to school with in Nepal and the ones in my community in the States have those qualities. If they didn't, they wouldn't be part of my circle.

Why are you so surprized? Are you so far from having these qualities?

It's not about my qualities or my social whereabouts. I underlined your statements with my perception. Had it been a guy with all those qualities, you would not have been clicked with x #s of guys. I dont say its wrong to date different guys but the way you put it might contradict your recent statement.

@ goddamn I object to your comment. All individual are different and stereotyping is ridiculous. Each one has their own list and different way they assigning points.
Lets talk about scenario here.
If you take a look at 21+ girl who is still struggling, there might be partial truth towards the check list mentioned.
If you take a look at 27+ woman who is earning 80 k n still in datind circle, she doesnot give fawk if guy is millionaire or earning 60 k.

@ojaswi rana i totally agree with u but its just one of the things my friend said and i saw it happening here. Out of the all requirements i saw only few words stable, well read, decent travelled, good upbringings, good career but not pakhess and these words pointed towards $$$ and on the side note were personality and humor.
Trust me, i have a lot of respect for women.

Simply True "Girls try to get in the pockets and Guys try to get in the panties." Hisab barabar.

Qualities of both men and women are weighed in the money(Guys) and face/figure(Girls) these days. Else everyone is smart, simple, humorous and educated.

LoL Rasika Kanchi @ your thread. You reminded me of Draupadi from Mahabharata.

When Draupadi prayed to god that she wanted husband with power, knowledge, skillful, beautiful and patience, she got five husbands instead of one otherwise called "Pandavas". Having said that she was so beautiful and charming that even snow white would bow down to her. I don't know even how you look right next to Gauri Malla lol

So my main point is, if it wasn't possible in that era, how would you think it's possible to find one man with all the qualities. Like draupadi did, if you want all those qualities, marry five men like she did.  If you insist that you found all the qualities in Nepal, you could have married with atleast one or engaged with one or your eyes could have misled you.

Peace

Sirus,

It is obvious that you are an insecure man who is threatened by men who are more qualitifed than you. There is no need to envy them. They are who they are and you are who you are. There is a place for all in this world.

@Rasika Kanchi: LoL again at your comment.

First of all, calling me insecure is like calling others black being Kettle yourself. I think you have forgotten the meaning of insecure. Insecure person is the person who can't find good soulmate and uses publich forum like sajha to brag about what she wants in her husband. I think it would be better if you could publish it in local newspaper lol. Insecure person is the person who tries to find all the good qualities in her husband so they can live off without any hassle/tension.

Regarding myself, i am engaged, loving my coroporate job and life so please look at the mirror before calling me insecure.

FYI, you are one of the reasons that i hate most of the nepalese girls in U.S. Too much attitude but little brain and beauty.

Peace.
