those who could connect to Nepal, which card did you use? I have been trying for a long time and doesn't go through. I'm using a cheaper card - SuperClean.

its working at times, i just called 2 places in KTM(@around 6 CST), although the phonecard didn;t work, i called directly from my cell............hope it works for u guys asa well

According my sister who just got back from Nepal (feb 4 or 5th), they used to turn on phone lines for 15 mins in the morning around 6 and 15 mins in the night... :D Tyahi belama pareko hola...

yeah the line might be onand off at times, but my sis from nepal said it has been back on since around 2pm nepali local time today(for today only, not previous days), dunno could be back off now.........but yeah, keep trying

Everything seems to be normal there. At least thats what my family members told me.

everything is back on track. the phone lines are running smoothly. the internet is on. except the cell phone, the basic communications seemed to be alright.
regarding censorship, all the newspaper are blanket censored. no indian news channel, the bbc nepali sewa is jammed and so on.
life is completely normal as if nothing happened here in kathmandu.
(you can see candle lit everywhere around durbarmarg supporting the king's move)

both phone lines and internet is working.. i just got a call from my family .. and now other people are online on MSN as well .. so lets see .. things seem to be returning to normal.

Phone line is on, but only if you call direct call not a phone card!
