It sounds really sad.
why is your flight postponed? Which Airlines is that?

I will suggest you to stay inside that airport until your departure, just like Tom Hawnks did in TERMINAL. You can collect the shopping carts and get quarters return so that you can eat in McDonald.

thanks for the suggestions.

actually i could go in the airport and check in tomorow 6 days before my flight from MSP airport.. then i could sleep on a bench, eat at the local shops, use the bathrooms ..all in the airport..... maybe even talk to some other passengers in the airport and play games on my laptop while waiting in the airport.

my mailing address is now:

Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport
Minneapolis, MN

;) ;)

lol lol lol

Please do not surrender your I-94 yet. You will not be able to come back specially if your visa has already expired.

cant you get a hotel deal from the airlines ??? I mean its their fault that you are in this current situation..............I think they do have a plan for stranded customers......I was in a similar state a while ago.....and the airlines put me in a hotel all expense paid for 3 days.......including meals.....So have you checked with the responsible Airlines...if not explain them your situation and tell them that you have no where to go and its all their fault and you want compensation.........

why not surrender my I-94 ?

once i get to Nepal, immediately, i am applying for new student F1 Visa for my Masters degree.

i feel very confident of getting a new visa to US. It will be quite sad though if i will be denied a visa. but i dont think that will happen so im not going to worry about it.

On a scale of 1 to 10 probably 8. I am sure it will decrease by one point every day. I only stayed for one day.

I had some donuts some cookies and some coke. I had a book to read. Whenever I got hungry i ate the donuts. I took break and walk around and look around. Then settle down at a nicely lit place.

"why not surrender my I-94 ?"

I mean during your stay inside the airport until you catch the flight in case if you need to come out of the airport for some reason.

Obviously it should be slightly more comfortable and safe to stay inside the airport as compared to train station i guess.

makartantra and all guys thanks for the ideas...

i am actually quite excited... its my first time being homeless..

it may sound weird and dumb but i just wanna experience being homeless just this once in my lifetime and never again. i wanna see how tough life is for homeless people in America and once i reach nepal i can tell everyone i was homeless for a week in america, i think my family will be shocked.

Latoboy you have to be careful about discrimination by other homeless people. They don't like foreign homeless people. They will tell you to go be homeless in your own country. Try to stay away from group of homeless people because they might beat you up.

I have another solutoin for you. Why don't you get drunk and go have arguments at the nearest police station. They will provide you nice shelter for a week and I think it's cooler to have spent time in prison than being homeless. What say you?

That idea may not work bcz he may get deported instead and may not be able to come back for Master's degree.
