If you have you can clearly see that he is now the worst of the lot.
He is ok but he does not deserve to be where he is at. Some very good singers have been eliminated but he lives.Now, some of you might say that he has luck on his side, that is what I am saying too.He has luck on his side. He doesn't have any talent whatsoever and it is his luck that he is still in thegame. And for some of you who consider him Nepali, He is as much Nepali as any english speaking person considershimself to be American or British.

I read somewhere that Prashant performed well in the gala to be aired this coming Friday. Well, the first thing that came to my mind was --- he will be in danger then. When he does not get good remarks from judges, such unsupportive comments from judges sends a message to his supporter out there that he is in danger and needs the support, a lot and soon. The result--he is saved.

When praised the supports may take comfort on judges' favorable comments and may think "well, he (Prashant) will get plenty of votes this time anyway -- we've supported him when he was in tough territory and we can take a break this time. Next time, we will jump in if we feel that he is in danger again". This kind of thought can turn fatal on Prashant, and there will be no next time.

Bottom line : Supporters, who want Prashant to win, should continue to vote for him whether he performs well or not.

About Prashant being Indian or Nepali --- I think its for him to decide. I have read in an interview where he identifies himself as a Nepali -- I take that statement as it stands.

It's sad that we always love to fight on who is Nepali and who is not when it comes to India, and Nepal. I am specially bothered when people from Nepal who are settled in other countries either as residents/citizens of the adopted land keep on questioning about citizenship status of the people living in the land they left behind.

I think, my personal opinion, Nepali huna Nepali man chahinchha -- deshko nagarik huna nagarikata chahinchha.

Sursum, I am sure they will say they are Nepali. but that does't make them Nepali. Heck thats like me saying I am the King of Sajha so my word is final. do you agree with that?
Anything I say goes. Is that ok with you? No you ask questions, you want to know why? Thats why, someone claiming to be Nepali does not necessarily mean that he is Nepali.
On a different note. Its been more than a century that the Sugauli treaty was signed. Get over it. People get screwed all the time. Some dumbass signed the treaty when you were not born. It was not Nepal anymore when you were born so get a life or you could be an extremist and fight till eternity. Its your choice.

Most of the 76 re's feel they are Indians of Nepali origin. That's a fact. A lot of you residing in the US will consider yourself Nepali even if you have or applied for US citizenship. But your kids and grandkids will consider themselves as Americans of Nepali origin. Thats a fact, there is no reason to gripe about it.

It's just a matter of how people feel vs who they are.

Shuaikhan point is noteworthy. Let's not keep going back to hunderds and then thousands of years back to see who is who and what is what-- I am sure, and most of you will agree with me --- there was a point in time when there was no Nepal --- No India --- No USA --- etc.

If we keep going back, we will see our purkha folks somewhere in the jungle bouncing without giving a damn about political borderlines.

I have been following Indian Idol from day one and have been giving vote to Prashant regardless weather he sings well or not. But honestly he is the weakest Link at the moment. He is a brilliant singer but I have to admit that he is not better than any other contestant left in the gala round. But I will still vote to save him.
