I guess she fully deserved that honor. When women from other countries were conquering the Everest one after the other, no other nepali woman looked like doing it before she came forward and did it. Although Tenzing Sherpa, a Nepali hero, shared the honor together with Sir Edmond Hillary as first persons to conquer the Everest, even after nearly two decades since Junko Tabei (first lady to climb the Everest) conquered it, no nepali woman dared to give it a try. Pasang realized that it was high time a nepali woman did it, and against all odds she showed what she wanted by doing it. Unfortunately she could not survive, but her strong determination and brave heartedness are inspirations to all of us. She knew that it was not a very good time of the year for climbing since the bad weather could strike anytime, but her firm determination did not deteriorate. She is the symbol of courage and determination which nepali women can be proud of. She is indeed one "hot" woman nepal has ever produced.
