Marwari community wants their representation in interim parliament

Marwari community has also demanded their share in the forthcoming interim parliament, which is to be formed after the promulgation of interim constitution.

Speaking at the national convention of Nepal National Marwari Council, its acting chairman Atma Ram Murarka said that the community, too, has decided to enter into politics and demanded at least two seats for the community in the interim legislature.

Deputy Prime Minister Amik Sherchan, addressing the concluding session of the council, assured the representation of Marwari community in the interim parliament.

Marwari community is a leading business community of the country.

ne23pe, marwaris have been around for a long time now. They have contributed a lot to boost the economy of Nepal. No one can deny that they have potential to escalate the already dampened economy of ours. What's wrong in giving them something which perhaps you or I don't deserve? You have a citizenship, does not alone prove you are a true son of the motherland. They have worked their ass off to stand to where they are now.

I do not know where Rahulvai lives --but I would think that he does not live in Nepal and therefore does NOT know the changes rapidly unfolding in the business sector.
