म नेपालगंज या सुर्खेत बाट त हैन तर पनि सुर्खेतमा लगभग २ बर्ष जति बिताएको थिएँ रेडियो को स्टेशन खुल्ने समय तिर। शायद २०४५-२०४६ साल तिर होला। भर्खर जुंगाको रेखि बस्दै थियो त्यतिबेला। पश्चिममा बाङ्गेसिमल सम्म पुग्न भ्याएको थिएँ भने उत्तरमा दैलेख जाने बाटो हुँदै सिद्ध पाईला सम्म पाईला टेकेको थिएँ। पूर्वमा तत्कालिन झुप्रा खोला जलविद्धुत आयोजना सम्म पनि पुग्न भ्याएको थिएँ तर दक्षिणमा भने कांक्रेविहार सम्म मात्रै हो पुगेको! छिन्चुबाट केहि पर भेरि नदीमा भर्खर पुल हालेको थियो क्यारे त्यति राम्रो याद छैन। समग्रमा भन्नु पर्दा विरेन्द्रनगर एउटा सुन्दर ठाउँ हो मेरो लागि

I am not from Surkhet but I have been there. I visited "Bulbule Taal" and that site of an old temple. I know that guy who made the remix of "Mai Chori Sundari". He is from Surkhet too and his name is Santosh. He used to be my best buddy. I know Umesh Poudel, Nabaraj Poudel from Patan Campus and they are from Surkhet too. I have been to Nepaljung too but it was long time ago. I know it was hot even in winter.

My Sasurali is in Nepalgunj,Khajura.and mine Keti Sathi is from Surkhet.Living in NYC.

I spent nearly five years in Nepalgunj so I am quite familiar with locality as well as local people.
Though my favorite was "Sekuwa" of "HAMRO MOMO" at Birendrachowk, Dhamboji.

म नेपालगंज गएको बेलामा धम्बोजीमा शान्ति शाक्य लज भन्ने ठाउँमा बसेको! बाग्वेश्वरी मन्दिर गएर फर्कँदा चोकमा ठेलामा टिकिया चाट खाएको सम्झना आयो, कस्तो मिठो भएको थियो! अनि रुपैडिइहा घएको टांगा चढेर! अनि खजुरा हुँदै मानखोला तरेर बर्दिया गएको!!

I had performed many street drama All over the Nepalgunj..from Indian border.. Rupadiya to Kohalpur..sweet street food and it was very hot summmer night.i have nice memory about Nepalgunj...

Did anyone visited Chandani Chowk?? I remember that Place. Does it still exist ??

Bardiya-ma kun thau-ma janu bhayeko? I am somewhat familiar that vicinity. Tharu Sathi haru sanga Bheda katera Jand Khayera Till pareko the Jawani-ma. Khub yaad aauchha.

दमिनीजी, म गुलरिया सम्म पुगेको त्यहाँ अलि अलि गुमेको थिएँ। तर गुलरिया र खजुराको बिचमा पर्ने बाँके - बर्दिया को सिमाना (मानखोला ले छुट्टयाएको रेछ दुई जिल्लालाई त्यहाँ) मा केहि दिन बिताएको थिएँ। नेपाल गंज बाट बर्दिया जाने बसमा ओहोरदोहोर गरिन्थ्यो, सिट नपाएर माति छतमा बस्नु पर्थ्यो र बाटोमा उडेको धुलोले कपाल, आँखा लुगा सबै धुलाम्मया पार्थ्यो! अहिले सम्झँदा नोस्टालजिक बनाउँछ! :)

ya, that is true. I remember man...those rides... From Ktm to Kothiyaghat. Mitho samjhana haru chhan ti thauka.

Nepalganj - Cold Beer & sekuwa Ani tesmathi Sikhar Churot. Amama...! Rupaidiya ko shopping. Young and Beautiful ladies - Gala-bata Ragat chuhiyela jasto. [ heriyo matrai, testo nachahindo ta kehi gariyena] :).

Ladiya Driver ( gada) pani bhaiyo- ahile Japanese Gada Hakinchha, tyo bela Ranga Hakiyo. On the way back to KTM, in gulariya, Aak QUARTER VODKA neat haneko yaad chha ajhai, bus chadnu bhanda pahile. Sapana jasto lachha aaja samjhada, ahile Rakshi pani chhodiyo, churot pani chhodiyo ani sayad Tyo Bhar-bhar-raudo Jawani Pani ( twenties).

When I first landed at Nepalgunj it was enroute to KTM from Jumla in the year 2045 B.S. and in the month of Magha. I felt so hot even in that cold month. I never imagined at that time that I will be staying five full years in that place in my life. But in the year 2055, I had to go there in the month of Jestha. I landed there by Bus around midnight of Jestha and temperature was around 45 degree celcius. We stayed at Binayak Hotel at Dhamboji. If I knew that I had to stay there for five years I never had decided to go there. But initially I was told to go there just for few months. But I had to spend five full years.
But I never regret for that. I enjoyed with that hot weather. I made lot of friends (some of beautiful girls too) and we used to go dring LASSI AND PANI PURI at TribhuvanChowk. I also joined in the local Mahendra College and I earned a degree in Law (LLB).

Anyway I love this place and people too.
