I have a question. Can we apply for asylum even when we are at H1B visa?. I also have my wife who is a dependent H4. Have anyone of you done this? Thanx...

You will lose your current status if you apply for asylum

 No, H1B is skilled worker group. So the case will be null and Void. One of my friend tried this thing but it was waste of money. If you consult to the lawyer he can give you some way to pursue but it is, sure shot that H1B will not fall under it.
