Friends,

Please tell me what is the difference in labor certification while doing H1B and GC? What is PERM labor certification?

Sorry for the ignorance but please explain in layman terms.

the one you do for H1B is temporary for max six years 
Labor certification for GC is permanent
PERM in the latest version of Labor certification in place of old system starting from R please google on that this is what i know...

I had the same question. But I knew the labor certificate in GC takes longer time than in H1B. I asked with few friends but couldnt tell abt labor certificate regarding H1B. I think Gohtalo's answer is correct.


BTW does anyone know what is the time period for labor certificate during these days?
