Hello guys,
Do you guys know the future prospect of Biotechnology? Btw..I am not gonna decide whether to study it or not based on the posts in this thread...coz I have already got into the Master's program, and will definitely study it regardless of the prospects. It really is interesting and I am excited to study it. Your thoughts and opinions are very welcome...if you belong/know to/about the field.

I guess if you will be able enter in medical biotechnology its better. It has more scope than agro-biotech.

It depends where you end up after graduation. even GSK is going down the hill at this point.....

Study computer science if you want an easy job and good money right after college. Biotechnology has a huge job prospect..but you will need a PhD before you can get paid well or get a good job, and most of them will be lab research. So, if you dont like research or dont want to spend 10 + years in college after high school, biotechnology is not the road to go. There are other easier ways you know - computer science, finance, economics.....

bio-tech has  gr8 future.
May be try for something called bio-informatics but then it does involve to certain degree Statistics also. This is a better options.
