hi!!
I want to send a laptop to my sister in Australia.... I am in US. Will anyone please suggest me how to do that... like I want to know about taxes and all other stuffs....

I will appreciate for all valuable suggestion!!

use usps its cheaper than fedex
no tax at all

Why you sending it MrNobody? Cheap in the US? I don't think there is a huge price diff. Why not buy her a new one?

of course daz... its a price.
a laptop that costs 700$ here costs around 1300A$. So i am just looking to save money... If you have any idea... please suggest me

I think students are allowed a laptop to bring into the country but I have no idea on sending from overseas. I think you need to pay local tax and customs duty. Please have a look at this site, you may find some info there.
